General Notes
and Rules on out of state trips:
1 Airline
carriers are strictly enforcing a 50-pound limit. Airlines will charge
for luggage, which is the responsibility of the traveler (varies by
airline, but approxamately $15 for first bag (some airlines free); $25
for second, 3rd $100). A true boot bag and pair of ski’s will be
considered as one bag. The Airlines may also tack on fuel or other
surcharges until our tickets are paid in full. This cost, if
applicable, will be passed onto the members on the trip.
2. For out of state members requiring alternate transportation
arrangements, please contact the out of state trip chair via email.
3. Optional Trip Insurance is available to participants and varies in
cost per trip. It will be approximately 6% of the trip cost. Please
contact the out of state trip chair via email for further inquiry.
4. Lodging costs may be subject to foreign currency fluctuations, which
will be passed onto the members on the trip.
Cancellation policy
A trip deposit is
required at the time of sign-up to secure your space. Deposit amount
are determined by the Arriba! Board
based on early security deposits we are required to pay to the trip
vendors for transportation and lodging. If minimum
quotas to maintain the group rates do not look like they will be met,
individual trips may be cancelled at no cost to the
participant. If this occurs your deposit will be fully refunded.
In all other cases the following policies apply unless otherwise stated
at the time the trip is offered:
General Cancellation Penalty Charges:
• 90 days or greater prior to departure date: $50 per person
• 31 to 90 days prior to departure: $250 per person plus any vendor
penalty fees (airline name changes,
reduction of guaranteed hotel space, etc.), unless your space is re-sold and then is assessed at $50 per person plus any vendor change penalty fees.
• Less than 30 days prior to departure: No Refund unless your space is
re-sold and then is assessed
at $50 per person plus any vendor change penalty fees. The Board
reserves the right to determine
the refund amount, if any.
Waiting
list policy
We maintain a waiting list for
all trips. Members are not allowed to transfer or trade their spaces
with anyone else. If you cannot make a trip, you need to cancel your
spot. If the trip is sold-out, the next person on the waiting list will
be offered the spot.
Trip insurance may be avialable, This is
not included in the cost of this trip. |
