Mammoth Trips for the 2008-2009 Season

Hi, this is Tri your new Mammoth chair. Our trips are set and we are looking forward to a great ski season!

Arriba offers two types of trips to Mammoth:  drive-up and bus trips.

Bus trips include transportation, food, and fun on the trip up to Mammoth and on the return, and continental breakfast and dinner each night. These trips offer you a great way to get up to Mammoth, no hassles, with dinner and lots of fun on the entier trip.

On drive-up trips, each person is responsible for arranging thier own transportation.  The Mammoth trip chair will assist those who are driving up to find additional riders to help share costs.  Riders are expected to share in the driving expenses.

DO NOT miss the Early Bird Discounts!!
Sign-ups for Mammoth Open House and Bus Trips will begin on September 16, 2007.

There are a couple of ways to sign up:

  • 1. Attend an Arriba General Meeting and sign up with the Mammoth Chair.
  • 2. If you are unable to attend a meeting but want to sign up for a trip, please e-mail the Mammoth Chairperson.

Mammoth Trip Schedule

Open House -- Dec. 25 - Jan. 4, 2008/2009 (Was fun for all!)

The Mammoth Open House is a great way for new members to join and meet other members of the club. It is also a great way for returning members to get back into the swing of things. During Open House Week the club will be renting a condo with private rooms and bunkrooms. There is a 2-night minimum so get your sign-up in.  The Open House is a drive up trip.

Once again in grand Arriba! tradition the first trip of the season is Mammoth Mountain during Christmas/New Years week. The Chateau Sans Nom 4-bedroom condominiums are once again our home for 10-nights a la carte; you may come and go as you please. The complex provides hot tub, sauna and fireplaces for some relaxing après ski socializing. Parking is limited and car-pooling is strongly recommended. There is a two night minimum stay required. Because of the close departure date for this trip, the Early Bird pricing is only in effect until September 30. Don’t miss out.

Bus Trip #1 Jan. 23 - Jan. 25, 2009 (Was great! Missed you!)

Arriba! launches the first Bus Trip of the season for a 3-day, 2-night excursion to Mammoth. Per the survey this year, we will be
bringing back a weekend bus trip. We will be staying at a NEW condo complex – The Mammoth View Villas. This complex is
within walking distance to the Village Gondola and the Mammoth Village. As in years past, Arriba’s private charter bus will make a
once daily run to Mammoth Main Lodge. A catered light dinner, snacks and beverages including beer and wine are provided on the bus to and from Mammoth. Continental breakfasts and juices will be available in the morning, and a catered or home cooked dinner will be served on Saturday night.

Drive-up #1 Presidents Day -- Feb. 13 - Feb 16, 2009 (What great snow we had!)

Spend President’s Day with Arriba! in Mammoth. The club has reserved the Chateau Sans Nom for 3 nights and 4 days. The
complex is within a short walk to the Mammoth Shuttle. Again, car-pooling is strongly recommended and the Club can assist with car-pooling arrangements with other club members if you are too shy to ask.

Bus Trip #2 Elevation Gay Ski Week -- Mar. 19 - Mar. 22, 2009 (Was a fantastic time!)

Arriba’s second Bus Trip coincides with the promoted Mammoth Gay Ski Week (Elevation). It is a 4-day, 3-night trip. The charter bus will also make a once daily run to Mammoth Main Lodge. All bus trips feature a catered light dinner, snacks and beverages including beer and wine on the bus to and from Mammoth. Continental breakfasts and juices will be available in the morning. All participants are traditionally treated to a catered or home cooked dinner on Friday or Saturday night.

Drive up #2 Apr. 2 - Apr. 5, 2009 (Last runs! We'll miss you Mammoth!)

The final Mammoth trip for the season is a 3-night 4-day drive-up. This trip is a Thursday drive to Mammoth and a Sunday night return. Lodging will be the Chateau Sans Nom. The complex is within a short walk to the Mammoth Shuttle. Again, car-pooling is strongly recommended and the Club can assist with car-pooling arrangements with other club members if you are too shy to ask.
